From: "Jack & Joelle Kraft" < j-birds@attbi.com    >
I have finally found my ancestor in your GenPage. I saw your posting on Jan. 5 in the GenForum and followed it. Cornelius is my ggg-grandfather. A family history said that he was one of seven brothers that came over with Lafayette to fight for the US.  After reading your info, I guess that is wrong.  I have Mary Lucinda (15336.5Bt) b. Mar 17, 1802 VT.  Married James Blair 1830.  Children:
Elizabeth
Persis
John D.
James D.
Matilda
George D.
Adam Hiram
William
Mary Lucinda

I got her birthdate from Roy Blair, he is gone and I don't know where his work is.
My mother and aunt have tried to find out if one of his sons still have the info.
My mother was elated with just seeing the page on Cornelius.  Wait until I get the rest of the history for her.
Thank you for breaking one of the walls on my moms side.  Even though Blair is a common name. It is that that makes it hard to find the right line.  The others are Hess, Zimmerman, Mautasch and Hunkey. Thanks again, Jack Kraft

From: Rich Eastman & Pam Parkerportunus@midcoast.com

Hi, Rod! Saw your Bigelow family page today and was quite excited. My wife descends through John-Joshua-Daniel-David-Tyler-George Tyler-Clara Dabney-Caroline Parker-Augustin Parker Jr. Her mother has an original oil painting of Hon. Tyler at about age 70 hanging in her living room. Many things were passed down in the family, some we haven't identified yet. We're trying to trace the source of a block-front desk made by Benjamin Frothingham about 1780 that was handed down in the family. Have you done any research into the wills of Tyler Bigelow or his son George? We thought
a will might indicate where this desk came from and suspect it to be a Bigelow piece. Pam's mother also has a portrait of Charles Miller Esq., Anna Smith Miller's grandfather. He was a merchant in Boston. Please let me know if you have anything further on this family.  Thanks so much, Rich Eastman & Pam Parker
correspondence with descendant:
My name is Dana Barton Berry and I am married to Thomas Bigelow Berry. Bigelow is my mother-in-law's family. I have been researching the Bigelow family on the Internet and have been most gratified to find tons of information via the Bigelow Society page and other family trees published there. I have traced the line from John Biglo (Bigelow) and his ancestors down to our children:  John Bigelow. (1), Joshua Bigelow. (2), Daniel Bigelow. (3), David Bigelow. (4), Tyler Bigelow.(5), George Tyler Bigelow. (6), George Tyler Bigelow. Jr. (7), George Tyler Bigelow. III (8) Eunice Miller (Bigelow) Berry (9), Thomas Bigelow Berry (10), Thomas Barton Berry (11).

George Tyler Bigelow was Chief Justice of the State of Massachusetts 1860-1868 and was highly regarded by his peers and the bar.  He married Anna Smith Miller on Nov. 5, 1839.  We don't know where, but suspect it was Boston, MA. While there is a lot of information we have collected about him, there is nothing to be found about her, not even her parents. Aside from the
remote possibility that we could locate the family Bible, I am at a standstill.  Do you have any suggestions on where I should look next?

The information we have on Justice Bigelow's career was recently obtained from the Supreme Judicial Court Historical Society of the State of Massachusetts. The curator was most kind to include a photocopy of Justice Bigelow from the Joseph A. Willard Photograph Collection.  The career synopsis is somewhat lengthy but I would be happy to share it with you if
you are interested.

Thanks for all of the family information you and the Bigelow Society have published on the Internet. You have helped our research tremendously! Sincerely, Dana Berry  email    tdberry3401@email.msn.com

 Hi Rod,
I'm Richard Baguley, of Norfolk, England.
I found the Bigelow page a year or two back and it was very interesting.  We had already had much research done by a long lost cousin in Caro, Michigan but this was excellent.  Somewhere down the line, our families were clearly connected!  We have even found Baguley Hall in Manchester, England.
Please put this in your bin if it is not closely enough connected with your business but I am trying to contact the children of the guy who we met in the 60s - Irl Baguley.  He was married to Clara and had 3 sons, Norman, Keith, Leonard and John.  I think Keith (as he seems to be known) has an address in Grand Rapids.  Irl and Clara passed way some time ago.
This is the extent of results from my surfing geneaology.
Any ideas how I might take this further?  I'll probably try snail mail at one or two addresses.
Good luck with your task with the Bigelow pages.
Kind regards,  Richard Baguley

Subject: William Bigelow

From: Cynthia Smart      Writecindi2@cs.com

I have just begun researching my Bigelow roots. My paternal grandmother was Edith Ardella Bigelow , born 24 Aug 1908 to James Ellsworth BIGELOW and his wife Nora Elizabeth DOWNING at Andrews, Huntington Co., IN. Edith married my
grandfather, Arden L. BEMENT, Sr. She was one of ten children. James E. Bigelow, according to information I just received via an e-mail from a lady who turns out to be my second cousin, was born 11 Dec 1864 at Andrews, Huntington Co., In, and died there on 6 Apr 1931. He is reported to have been a sheriff and the son of William Bigelow born in ?,Ohio, died 10 May 1873 in Huntington Co., In. He was married to Susan Jane TURNER. William was the son of Samuel W. Bigelow born in NJ 16 Dec 1807, died 28 Jul 1874 in Huntington Co., IN. He was married to Mary PARKER. He is reported to be the missing son of William and Catherine Brigham Bigelow who was sent off to the navy. It is said that he never wanted contact with his family again because he felt they didn't want him. To keep from being discovered he added the name Samuel to the front of his name. I found a posting on the GenForum Bigelow page referring to a William BIGELOW from NJ , and I saw that you had posted a followup with a reference to your website but no particular information. When I checked your site, I saw that
William was simply listed as having never been heard from since.
My question to you is: Are you aware of any information or proof one way or the other as to the connection between these two men. Is it simply an unproven assumption? I would appreciate any help you might be able to give me. Thank you very much,
Cynthia Smart

Great page. I have found much information on my Mother-in-law, Lila Leclair's ancestors, daughter of Elizabeth Mallish and Norman Leclair. By the way, Margaret Bigelow and Edward Mallish had some children that where not mentioned in your page. Beside Elizabeth Mallish mentioned above, and Louisa, Rhoda, Mima and Stanley, there was Nellie (Robert Donaldson), Ethel (Allen Smith), Betsy or Betty (? Parent), and Victor Mallish.
Now, I need some help on my father-in-law Frank (Franklin) Bigelow. He is the son of Thomas Arthur Bigelow and Ruby Smith. Frank's siblings are: Evelyn, Dorothy, Kenneth, Reginald, Lezetta and Henry...much more

Subject:  info on isabella (isabel de baggilegh) wife of John Hyde
Date: Tue, 28 Dec 1999 22:40:26 -0800
From: John M. Fintel      <  johnfintel@crescentlink.com  >
My name is John Fintel and I've been doing a lot of research into my geneology and I came across your website while researching a line in my family tree. Looking at the chart you had on your website that was from volume 1 of the bigelow family geneology, I noticed you had a John Hyde married to an Isabella and this isabella had a father named william. This caught my eye and i went and checked on my family tree and sure enough i found an Isabell De Baggilegh with a husband named John Hyde and a father named William and from the dates you had on your site, this seemed like too much of a coincidence. as it turns out, Isabel De Baggilegh (with my father being the 1st generation) is only 22 generations back and is from baggilegh, england. She was born in 1249 and died sometime after 1358. If you could give me anymore information on this person this would be greatley appreciated, if it's the same person then we might even be cousins 22 generations apart, who knows.
