Ellen Persis ⁸ BIGELOW

15336.5E1 Ellen Persis ⁸ BIGELOW, dau of Charles Nelson ⁷ ( Cornelius ⁶ , Paul ⁵, Cornelius ⁴, Samuel ³, Samuel ², John¹) and Clarinda (WILTSE) BIGELOW, was born at Ashford, Cattaraugus, NY on 12 Jun 1843. At the age of 11 she moved with her parents to Eaton co., MI and was married there on 23 Aug 1862 to Horace Wickwire (see below). He died on 23 May 1865 after having one son. In 1870, Ellen appears on the census in her parent's home. In 1905, she married George A. Bowser, a widower and Civil War Veteran. He was the son of John and Cecilia (Monkman) Bowser and born in Canada on 25 July 1836 and died near Coopersville, Ottawa, MI on 26 Nov 1920. She died on 24 April 1937 at Chester township (Coopersville) and is buried at Ravenna cemetery, Ravenna, MI.
