Harriet Amelia 9 BIGELOW

16312.7226     Harriet Amelia 9 BIGELOW, dau of  Edward Payson 8 ( Edward 7 , Asa 6,  David 5, David 4, Lt. John 3, Joshua 2, John 1) and Mary Frances (ASHLEY) BIGELOW, was born at New York City, NY on 07 September 1889.  On 18 May 1912 (see below), she married Paul Billingsley.  Paul was the son of Rev. John Alva and Lucy Ann (Smith) Billingsly. Paul was born 30 November 1897 New York City, and died 18 May 1962 at Burton, WA and Harriet died 11 January (4 or 9 Jan?) 1963 at Seattle, WA.  Paul went to Columbia University in NYC and was a Consulting Geologist. He served in the Armed Forces and was a Lieutenant in the Army General Staff during World War I and Liaison Officer between Air Force and Civil Defense during WWII. Both are buried in Acacia Cemetery, Seattle, WA.

16312.72263    Paul Billingsley, jr, b 05 Oct 1916 Butte, Silver Bow co, MT; d _____ ; m 07 July 1936 Betty Sue Lee in Coupeville, WA, of Vashon, WA. They eloped and were married in Coupeville, WA. They had 2 children, Paul Billingsley 3rd, and Caryl Ann.(see below)

My name is Caryl Ann Billingsley Bangsund, and while browsing through the Bigelow Society pages, I found my grandmother Harriet Bigelow,
daughter of Edward Payson Bigelow. There were a couple of mistakes made concerning her children,
Under the children of Paul Billingsley and Harriet Bigelow, Harriet Joy and Raymond Compton had 3 children, not 2. They are Raymond Dale, Roger
Billingsley, and Jean Joy. Paul Billingsley Jr. married Betty Sue Lee (not Elizabeth Sue), Vashon, WA. They eloped and were married in Coupeville, WA. They had 2 children, Paul Billingsley 3rd, and Caryl Ann. I have extensive geneology information which my grandmother kept. Some of it is difficult to read (for me anyway), and I am not versed in how to decipher it either.
