I noticed in the WHAT's NEW section, that their was an article about
Charles
H. Bigelow and wife Florence, dated Feb. 1997. Could you please tell
me how
I might access this article and if there is any one I might contact
about
this individual? I'm assuming he's the "Texas Charley" that I found
in
another of your sections. Is there a last name for Florence?

I sent a message early this morning, about the above subject.I'm very
interested in any info, I might find ,about this individual,as I do
historical research on Jesse James, and it has been told to me,by many
families, that Charley Bigelow was killed instead of Jesse James, and
he was
able to live for many years, after his supposed demise,by using Bigelow's
body. I have been told, but not verified, that the James and Bigelows
were
related. Is there any way I might find where the pictures of Buffalo
Bill
and Bigelow are,so I might compare what I have,as well as more info
on the
Kickapoo Co.?Would love to hear from anyone on the subject! Please
feel
free to publish my query.
I've enclosed my snail mail address and phone number, and will answer
all
messages.

Hello;
Do you know of a Canadian chapter of the Bigelow Society? If there
is, do
they have a web page? I am renewing my interest in my roots and
would like
to find out more information.
Thanks in advance for any help.

DANIEL WARREN, May 24, 1711153.
Notes for DANIEL WARREN:
from "Waltham as a Precinct of Watertown and as a Town 1630-1884"
by Edmund L. Sanderson
John and Daniel, sons of Ensign John Warren,
bought in 1710
from John Coolidge 56 acres, the southern parts of lots 29 and 30
in the first squadron. Daniel seemingly bought his brother's half
although the transaction is not recorded. The Daniel Warren who
lived at this place is stated by Bond to have been the son of Daniel
and Elizabeth (Whitney) Warren, born in 1686. This is an evident
mistake for that Daniel was the one who married Rebecca Garfield,
moved to Marlborough and then to Westboro where he was living when
he was made administrator of his fathers estate in Weston near
Kendall Green. Daniel of the West Precinct was Great grandson of
John the pioneer, grandson of Daniel and son of Ensign John. He
married Hannah Biglow in 1711 and second, in 1717, Mehitabel Garfield.
He died early in 1731 but his widow lived on the homestead until her
death in 1782, age ninety-three. John Viles, a son-in-law, acquired
a considerable part of the estate, buying from Daniel Warren, Jr.
in 1786. In 1800 he sold the place to Solomon Harrington.

Rod: Just examined your family tree on the familytree family finder.
What a wonderful surprise. I have been looking for Roderick Bigelow,
16314.49 for quite some time. His wife Sabrina was my great grandfather
sister. I have pictures of her headstone, but was not aware that
he
must be buried beside her as there is no stone there. Can you give
me
any information on them. It says that they had 10 children. Do
you have
anything on the children. There are lots of Bigelows in this
area and
I`m sure some of them would be from that couple. Also Mary,16314.48
was married to Dr. Eleazer Utter who was Sabrina`s brother. Do
you
know anything about a marriage before Dr. Utter as she is listed in
our
tree as Mary B. Hinkley. I am assuming that the B. stands for
Bigelow.
I have pictures of the graves of both Mary and Dr. and some of their
children, all in the Trempleau Cemetery. Any help you can give
me will
be greatly appreciated and let me know if I can do anything to help
you.

Dear Rod,
I am a descendant of Martha Spring Bigelow, daughter of Isaac Bigelow
and Angeline Prentice. Isaac Bigelow's parents were John Bigelow
and
Lydia Spring. Martha Spring Bigelow married Henry Schellinger
and both
lived in Wisconsin. They had a daughter Mary Ellen Schellinger,
my
great grandmother. She married John Cobin Martin from Mains of
Craig
Hall, Kennethmont, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. His family came from
Scotland in 1852. He was one of five brothers that were veterans
of the
Civil War.
I really appreciate all of the information that you have on the
Bigelows. Being in Virginia does not allow me to research much
from
Massachusetts. I find that this area has a lot for people from
this
area but is extremely limited regarding other states.
What do you know of a Thomas Warren, settlor of Jamestown, Virginia?
I
understand that the Mayflower Richard Warren can not be officially
researched to the John Warren Line?
Let me know if you are interested in information on the Martha Spring
Bigelow/Henry Schellinger line. The Schellinger line goes back
to the
beginnings of New York state and has a "coat of arms" as well.
Sincerely,
Sandra M. Williamson
Dear Ron,
Kathy sent me your address in response to my query about future
ReunionTalk Filemaker archives that Don used to post on his HomePage.
Are you considering continuing? Is there someone else prepared
to take
over the job? What would one require to do the archiving?
Perhaps you should make some note on the Internet page, saying that
Don
has passed on, hence the archives have stopped at April. Also
perhaps
suggest writing to Reunion so that they can make some comment on their
Link page!
Many thanks
Peter Lurie

Hi! I was wondering if you have the parents of Charles P. Adams
that
married your Lucy Ann Hill. I have been searching for years the
family of
James and Mary Adams of Brookfield, MA. They had a son, Calvin
Shepherd
Adams, born in 1806 in Brookfield. Calvin married Huldah Sabin.
I'm
grasping at straws by looking at the names of Calvin and Huldah's children,
as they named most of their children after some relation. They
had a
James, Charles and a George. Any help that you may be able to
give would
be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
