Doris, 93, of St. Louis, MI passed away Wednesday, February 10,
2016 at the Schnepp Senior Care and Rehab Center in St. Louis.
Doris was the daughter of Glen and Hazel (Delling) Bigelow.
She married James Kellogg on December 1, 1938 in Bethany Township.
Doris worked at Panzel Grocery and farmed with her husband for 30
years. She also worked at Anschutz Restaurant as a cook and
waitress for many years.
She is survived by her son Jerry (Alice) Kellogg of Merrill,
grandsons Leland (Lisa) Kellogg of Northville and Keith (Sally)
Kellogg of Des Peres, Missouri and two great grandsons Nicholas
and Ryan Kellogg of Des Peres, Missouri.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents, husband James in 1995.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Lux
and Whiting Funeral Chapel, Breckenridge with Pastor Debbie Thomas
officiating. Interment followed in Ridgelawn Cemetery,
Breckenridge.

When Winifred I. Bigelow was born on 18 June 1928, in Alma,
Gratiot, Michigan, United States, her father, Glen A Bigelow, was
37 and her mother, Hazel B Delling, was 31. She married Neil E.
Fenner on 7 January 1960. She lived in Gratiot, Michigan, United
States in 1935 and Bethany Township, Gratiot, Michigan, United
States in 1940. She died on 12 May 2008, in Saint Louis, Gratiot,
Michigan, United States, at the age of 79, and was buried in
Riverside Cemetery, Alma, Gratiot, MI

Barbara Jean Bigelow, b 17 Oct 1938 Saint
Louis, Gratiot County, MI; d 13 Mar 2014 (aged 80) Alma, Gratiot
County, MI; m 16 March 1952 Martin Herman Roslund (1933-2015);
Barbara Jean Roslund, age 80, of Alma, formerly of St. Louis,
passed away Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Warwick Living Center. She
was born October 17, 1933 in St. Louis the daughter of Glen and
Hazel (Delling) Bigelow. Barb was a graduate of St. Louis High
School and married Martin Roslund on March 16, 1952 at the St.
Louis Church of Christ.
Barb was a member of the St. Louis Church of Christ, Good Sam and
Gleaners. She enjoyed traveling with Martin and taking their
grandsons on camping trips. She also enjoyed riding their pontoon
boat on the Pine River and fishing near their home. Barb
especially loved spending time with her grandsons.
Barb is survived by her husband of nearly 62 years, Martin of Alma
and St. Louis, three children; Debra (Dennis Danyluk) Roslund of
Sault Ste. Marie, Melinda "Lindy" (Rich) Smalley of Alma and Mark
(Karen) Roslund of St. Louis, six grandsons; Ryan (Kathy) Roslund
of Shepherd, Jacob (April Bennett) Roslund of Brooklyn, Nickolas
(Kristara Hensley) Roslund of St. Louis, Travis Roslund of St.
Louis, Sean (Magnolia Lluberes) Young of Pompano Beach, FL, and
Chad (Kim German) Young of Bridgeport, three great-granddaughters;
Samantha Goettling of Kalamazoo and Hannah and Ella Roslund of
Shepherd, and a sister; Doris "Peg" Kellogg of St. Louis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a great-grandson, Mason
Martin Roslund and two sisters, Esteleda "Lead" Moulton and
Winifred "Winnie" Fenner.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at 11
am at the St. Louis Church of Christ with Pastor Keith Wise
officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, St. Louis.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 from 2-4 and
6-8 pm at Lux-Moody-Wolfel Funeral Home, Alma. Memorial
contributions may be made to March of Dimes and American Heart
Association.
Martin Herman Roslund, 82, of Alma, formerly of St. Louis,
passed away Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Warwick Living Center in
Alma. He was the son of Herman and Wilmetta (Seidell) Roslund.
He attended Alma Schools until his sophomore year and was a 1950
graduate of St. Louis High School. On March 16, 1952 he married
Barbara Jean Bigelow at the St. Louis Church of Christ.
Martin was a hard working entrepreneur by heart and started
selling fruit on the family farm in St. Louis in his youth. He
later opened Roslund Farm Market which he operated for many years.
He also worked along with his father and brothers at Roslund
Gravel Company in St. Louis and together they oversaw the
construction of the Evergreen Trailer Park on their farm. Martin
owned Merrill Block for several years and Right Now Homes, selling
modular homes for many years. He later bought the Rent Rite
business in Alma which is still run by the Roslund family today.
He also maintained his builders and real estate licenses.
Martin was a member of the St. Louis Church of Christ, Good Sam
and the Gleaners. He was also a former member of the Home Builders
Association, the Alma Elks and the American Rental Association.
He enjoyed traveling with his wife Barb and taking their grandsons
on camping trips. Martin made many lifelong friends and together
they enjoyed time traveling and being together. He especially
loved spending time with his family and beloved grandsons.
Martin is survived by three children; Debra (Dennis Danyluk)
Roslund of Sault Ste. Marie, Melinda “Lindy” (Rich) Smalley of
Alma and Mark (Karen) Roslund of St. Louis, six grandsons; Ryan
(Kathy) Roslund of Shepherd, Jacob (April Bennett) Roslund of
Alma, Nickolas (Kristara) Roslund of St. Louis, Travis Roslund of
St. Louis, Sean (Magnolia) Young of Pompano Beach, FL and Chad
(Kim) Young of Flint, five great-grand daughters, Samantha
Goettling, Hannah and Ella Roslund all of Shepherd, Violet Roslund
of Alma and Aurora Young of Flint, two sisters, Dolores (Howard)
Comstock of St. Louis, Kathy Johnston of Lansing, three brothers,
Richard (Shirley) Roslund of St. Louis, David (Marge) Roslund of
St. Louis and James “Jack” Roslund of Mt. Pleasant.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Barb in 2014,
and a great-grandson, Mason Martin Roslund.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at the
St. Louis Church of Christ with Pastor Keith Wise officiating.
Interment followed in Oak Grove Cemetery, St. Louis.
