Hi Rod, my name is Robert Wells and I am a direct
descendant of James Amasa Bigelow, he being my Great Great
Grandfather on my mother's side. My mother is Lola Bigelow,
daughter of Alexander Bigelow who is the son of Ernest Bigelow,
eldest son of James. I was wondering if you would like
further information regarding our part of the family? Also I
would like further information if available of the Bigelow
Society. I live in Newcastle Australia close by to where
Ernest was born. My mother Lola is still alive aged 88 about

Ernest John Bigelow was in a
relationship with Jessie Duncan McIntyre (formerly Anderson)
during 1935, which resulted in her husband Frederick petitioning
for a divorce because of Jessie's infidelity. Frederick and
Jessie were divorced in January1937
Jessie Duncan Anderson
was born in 1903 at Wallsend, New South Wales, Australia [1],
the daughter of Duncan Petrie Anderson and Margaret Jane
(Maggie) Johnston and the sister of Margaret Jane Anderson, Alma
Hazel (Anderson) Robson, Annie Hewison (Anderson) Sinclair and
Mary S Anderson.
She married Frederick Charles McIntyre in March 1924 according
to the rites of the Reorganised Church of Jesus Christ of Latter
Day Saints at West Wallsend, New South Wales, Australia [2] and
they had one child, Frederick Charles McIntyre.
Jessie and Frederick were divorced in January 1937 after
Frederick petitioned for a divorce because of Jessie's
infidelity with Ernest John Bigelow [3][4].
Jessie Duncan (Anderson) McIntyre married Ernest John Bigelow on
5 March 1937 at West Wallsend, New South Wales, Australia [5].
Ernest John Bigelow passed away 28 October 1939 at West
Wallsend, New South Wales, Australia [6].
Jessie Duncan (Anderson) Bigelow married Leslie Lyle Perfrement
in 1943 at Muswellbrook, New South Wales, Australia [7].
Jessie Duncan (Anderson) Perfrement passed away 23 March 1969 at
Narrabri, New South Wales, Australia [8] and was buried in the
Narrabri Old General Cemetery, Narrabri, New South Wales,
Australia
