15923.2376      Bertrand Clapp 9 BIGELOW, son of  William Irwin 8 ( Russel 7 , Russell 6 , Isaac 5 , Isaac 4, Isaac 3, Samuel 2, John 1 ) and Jane (Lytle) BIGELOW, born 18 August 1874 at Gardner, Johnson co., KS.  On 12 December 1899 he married Rose Amanda Limbird, who was born in 1873, the dau of Richard and Lovina (Hayes) Limbird. She died 1917 at Gardner, KS, and buried in Gardner cemetery with her husband.  They were married by H. G. McCool, pastor of the Gardner Presbyterian Church in Gardner, KS. , Bertrand died 06 February 1932 at Gardner, Johnson co., KS.

15923.23761    William Irwin, b 31 Aug 1900 Gardner; d 15 Sept 1934 Conway, AZ; m 28 May 1922 Lana Leola Rohrer, (b. 15 Sep 1901 at Gardner, KS and d 09 May 1966 at Kansas City, KS, dau of William Clark and Bonnie (Shumate) Rohrer) at Gardner, KS William is buried at Osawatomie, Miami co, KS.  He was a salesman and was murdered (see below) while working away from home.  Lana married (2) 08 June 1939 William John Hedman.  She is buried at Osawatomie, KS. They had one son: Glen Eldon Bigelow, b 21 Feb 1923 Gardner.

15923.23762    Arthur Richard, b ___ 1902, Johnson co, KS; d  ___ 1941 Ft. Leonard Wood, MO and buried at Gardner, KS; m (1) Betty Jean ____ ; m (2) __ 1937 Inez Burton (b 1901).  No children.

15923.23763     Esther Belle, b 30 Mar 1904 Johnson co, KS; d 01 Nov 1964 Portland, OR; m 07 Oct 1922 LeRoy Emmet RECORD and they had a daughter, Barbara Jean RECORD. (b 05 Nov 1923; d 29 Dec 1923)

For my Dad, Richard W. Kunkle  that should read B 03 OCT 15 instead of B 30 OCT 15.   We believe that my Uncle Bill, Mom's brother, was murdered by Ma Barker and gang as he was found with 5 bullet wounds in the back of his head, their signature.  All those listed below in my family are buried in Gardner KS.  Our family came down the Santa Fe Trail in the 1850's and help found the town.  The cemetery is full of Bigelows plus others connected by marriage.  There are many more listed in Kansas Sapling's buried in Gardner.
