James Augustus 7 BIGELOW
16B26.52 James Augustus 7 BIGELOW,
son of Augustus 6 (
Jabez 5 , Jabez 4 , Gershom 3, Joshua2, John1) and Frances (FENN)
BIGELOW, was born in Ashtabula county, OH on 15 September 1838 and married
in 1866, Albertine Van Buren born 04 October 1843 the daughter of John Van
Buren. They were divorced and she died at Norwalk, CT on 23 June 1918. His
second marriage, 1872 in PA, was to Mary (Turnock) Bender the daughter of
Benjamin and Mary (Whittaker) Turnock, born in Jersey City, NJ on Ol April
1848. She brought.her daughter, Anna Bender, into this marriage. James served
as a Surgeon in the 8th Regt., CT. Vols., 1863 to 1865 during the Civil War.
He died at Elkhart, Elkhart, IN on 02 April 1919 and Mary on 13 June 1927,
also at Elkhart.

lived with her mother in Newington, CT.
Children of James Augustus and Mary (Turnock) Bender Bigelow:
16B26.522 Frances, b ca 1875 Elkhart, IN; d 15
Dec 1956 Elkhart; unm.; a chiropractor in Elkhart for over 43 years.
