15923.48 Ittia7 Bigelow, son of Freedom6 (Isaac5, Isaac4, Isaac3, Samuel2, John1) and Susanna (Kathan) Bigelow, was born at Ballston Spa, Saratoga, NY circa 1810. When the War of 1812 ended, the family moved to central Ohio along with other of their relatives. They settled first at Madison county. There on 08 July 1830 Ittia married Mary Hyzer. Comments: I have just started to reasearch my family's history. I
am a direct decendant of John Biglo and Ann Warren on
my mother's side through Freedom Bigelow and Susanna Kathan. I am
wondering if there is anyone else who traces their
Bigelow line through Freedom and Susanna Bigelow. I am also
looking for information on Mary Hyzer who married their son,
Ittia Bigelow. She was born around 1812 and came to Madison
County, Ohio from Kentucky.

Found George's second marriage to Magdalena and the census records
for George and Rachel who then had three small children. She
died age 29 and they lived with relatives until George married
second to Magdalena (Laney) Tillman, sister of Mary Jane Tillman
who married Thomas Ayle, parents John Wilson Ayle who married
Dimmis Armentrout, daughter of George Washington and Rachel
(Bigelow) Armentrout, making a double relationship to George's
second family.
George Armentrout 1833-1922 married first 22 Oct 1853 Rachel(8) (15923.485 R36) Bigelow, daughter of Ittia(7) and Mary Hyzer Bigelow, who died 1862 (not 1864) leaving 3 small children in Franklin Co., Ohio. He served in the Civil War and relatives cared for his 3 small children. After Rachel died, George went into the Civil War, age 28, Co. F., 45 Ohio Inf. Aug 6, 1862. He was wounded 27 May 1864 and mustered out June 12, 1865. He is buried in the Preston Cemetery, Alger, Hardin Co., Ohio. He then married a second time to Laney Tillman, sister of Jane Tillman Ayle (whose son John Ayle married Georges' daughter Dimmis by his first marriage.) Laney and Jane also had a brother Henry Tillman. By his first marriage, George and Rachel had Ittia 1854-1933 (married Sarah J.), Mary born 1857 (married Frank White), and Dimmis 1860-1888 (married John Allen Ayle). By his second marriage, he and Laney Tillman had: Albert 1869-1902 (married Molly Kempsill and had 3 children, Richard, Blanch and Jacob, This was her second marriage. She first had a son by P. Kenton, Albert, who was father of LaDonna Lawrence of Alger, Ohio and Molly married George Fuchs, (pronounced Fox), Clara, 1870-1931 (married 1893 James Cowan 1861-1917, 6 children) Robert C. "Keet" 1871-1931 (married 1897 Delia Barrett born 1881, 7 children), Jacob Schneider 1873-1944 (married 1894 Clara Belle Dabler 11 children) Mantie (married Charles W. Burris 1880-1948 8 children) Howard (married Sadie and they had a son Dale. See FORGE Vol. 11, #3, Robert A. Gienke, 24799 Lake Shore #319A, Euclid, Ohio 44123, (deceased by 2000, but brother Roy was still living in St. Mary's.)
15923.4843 Dimmis
Armentrout, born 1859, Plain City, Franklin co, OH.
She married John Ayle about 1876 and they lived in McGuffey. She
died in 1888 at Kenton, Hardin co, OH and is buried in the Seig
Cemetery, Kenton, OH. My Aunt, Evidene Tracy, showed me
where she is buried with two children who died young, Georgie and
a daughter, but there are no stones. Their graves were in
the Sieg Cemetery, near the "pump," near a tree grandpa Ayle
planted after she was buried there. That was many years ago,
in the 1950s, so I imagine the pump is gone and the tree has
died. She died at age 29, as did her mother, also leaving 3
children.
John Allen Ayle, son of Martin and Jane (Tillman) Ayle. Her
sister was Laney Tillman, step mother of John Allen's wife, Dimmis
Armentrout, daughter of George and Rachel (Bigelow) Armentrout,
McGuffey, Ohio where John Allen Ayle moved from Kenton. He was
born 11 July 1855 at Plain City, OH. Dimmis, as had her
mother, died at age 29 leaving 3 small children in 1888.
John Ayle married a second time to Sarah Timmons. John and
Dimmis also had two children that died very young, Georgie and
Dolly, buried with their mother in Seig Cemetery, KIenton. John
Ayle died 29 June 1939 in McGuffey at age 84.

15923.48533 Elizabeth 10 Ayle,
daughter of Dimmis 9 (Armentrout), (Rachel
(8) (Bigelow) Armentrout, Ittia (7) Bigelow, etc, and John
Ayle, was born 06 March 1883 in Kenton, Hardin co, Ohio. In
1901 she married William Stanley Kelly, born Lakeview, Logan co,
OH on 30 December 1874, son of Daniel Henry and Sarah Elizabeth
(Kennedy) Kelly. Elizabeth died 13 December 1968 in Three
Rivers, MI. William (called Stanley) died 26 November 1939
in Ohio. They are buried in Roundhead Cemetery near
Stanley's father, Daniel Henry Kelly.
Elizabeth was called "Libby". When 5 years old
she was hit by a double bladed ax when her father was chopping
wood (story told by descendant) and was blind in one eye the rest
of her life. Another story said she had measles which caused
her to be blind in one eye. "Libby" was 93 when she died.
After grandpa died, grandma's house was behind ours in
Michigan. One thing I remember about her was that she swept
her yard with a broom almost every day, sweeping between every
little wisp--weather permitting, and even sometimes when it
sprinkled.
William Stanley Kelly, son of Daniel and Sarah Elizabeth
(Kennedy) Kelly, always went by "Stanley" and in one instance,
(Lex) to his (aunt) Cora per letter. He always called me
"babe"--maybe because I was at the time the baby of the
family--and he died before my younger sister was born. He
married Elizabeth Ayle in Kenton, Ohio in 1901, per marriage
license from Hardin Co. His mother was Sarah Elizabeth
(Kennedy) Kelly. She was daughter of Job and Elizabeth
(Davis) Kennedy who were both born in Ireland (per tombstone near
Lakeview and New Hampshire, OH) Her brother was William
Kennedy who had son Job ("young Job") whose family cared for Sarah
Elizabeth (Kennedy) Kelly until she died in Auburn, Indiana and is
buried there at Cedar Chapel Cem., [Wm.Tracy Jr.7/23/1999].
William "Stanley" died 24 Nov 1938, Dola, OH and is buried with
his wife and father in Roundhead Cemetery, Hardin co., OH.
His wife, Elizabeth (Ayle) Kelly was born 6 Mar 1883, Alger, OH
and died 13 Dec 1968, Three Rivers, MI. Both buried at
Roundhead Cem., Roundhead, OH. Note: William Stanley
Kelly's father, Daniel Henry, evidently had a brother William
since it was told that "Stanley" was named for his uncle "Billy"
and for Stanley Livingston.
