Andrew Jackson 7 BIGELOW


16B26.16      Andrew Jackson 7 BIGELOW, son of Job Gardner 6 ( Jabez 5 , Jabez 4 , Gershom 3, Joshua2, John1) and Thankful (ENOS) BIGELOW, was  born on 04 July 1832 at West Eaton, NY. His first of two marriages was to Antha Mattison on 23 June 1856. Antha was born on 07 January 1837 in NY state. She died in MI on 18 July 1867 after having 4 children. His second marriage was to Emily A. Powers on 21 May 1873. She was born at Cleveland, Cuyahoga, OH on 02 November 1850. After graduating from the University of MI in 1855, he became a minister of the Methodist Episcopal Church and presiding elder in the Saginaw District of the Detroit Conference. In 1889 the family was located at Canton, Genesee, MI. Andrew died on 30 July 1906 at Detroit, Wayne, MI and Emily on 23 December 1919 at Adrian, Lenawee, MI. Both are buried at Oakwood Cemetery, Adrian.

Jay Whiting Bigelow is found as late as 1910 Browns Creek, West Virginia  census.

If Jay was married twice and was it was either between 1880 when Jay was 15 and his marriage to Mary Blythe McPherson in 1892/93 or after a divorce from Mary sometime after 1910.  He does not show up in census records with  family after 1910.
