# 1238. Samuel 4, son of John 3 ( Jonathan 2, John 1) BIGELOW and Abigail (RICHARDS) BIGELOW, was born at unknown date, presumed NJ. He is listed as a taxpayer in 1783. he signed the Pequannoc Remonstrance at the opening of the Rev. War. He was a captain operating a privateer off the coast of New Jersey during the war. On 28 July 1767 he married Eleanor CONRON. They apparently lived near Burlington, NJ. We have no dates for either, but Samuel was born between 1720 and 1733 (the date of his father's death).
