1537. Ruth 4, daughter of Samuel 3 ( Samuel 2, John 1) BIGELOW and Mary (GLEASON) BIGELOW, was born Marlborough, Middlesex county, MA, 30 Dec 1719. She was married there 7 June 1743 to Daniel HEMENWAY, son of Ebenezer and Hannah (WINCH) HEMENWAY. He was born 2 Feb 1719 at Framingham, MA. They settled at Shrewsbury. Ruth died there 4 May 1769, leaving 8 children. Daniel married (2) 1 Dec 1768 Elizabeth JOHNSON, and (3) 4 Nov 1783 Abigail WHEELOCK, dying finally on 15 Nov 1794 Shrewsbury.

My Great Aunt, Lucy Hemenway Royce, gave me a chart
many years ago that traces her roots back to William Bradford, Governor of
the Plymouth Plantations, and along the way has Daniel Hemenway marrying Ruth
Bigelow, Daughter of Samuel Bigelow and Ruth Warren! You have all sorts of
Warrens, but no Ruth....do you suppose Aunt Lucy had a wrong name? She did
have Fitel instead of Fitch, but that may have been a handwriting glitch..Mary
and Ruth wouldn't be a problem in handwriting! Sigh.... Do you have any information
on Samuel marrying Ruth Warren?

married Mary CARROLL, followed by their son Rufus HEMENWAY and Lucy TAYLOR,
followed by
their daughter Mary HEMENWAY's marriage to Enoch BARKER, followed by their
daughter Amelia Lucy BARKER's marriage to James Lawrence
SAMPSON, followed by their son Wilbur James SAMPSON's marriage to Mary Katherine
SPEAS, followed by their daughter Margaret Belle SAMPSON
who married my grandfather, Joseph Ephraim HARMON. My mother Katherine
