James 6 BIGELOW

12116.2    James 6 BIGELOW, son of John 5 ( Timothy 4, Jonathan 3, Jonathan 2, John 1), and Hannah (WADSWORTH) BIGELOW was born 10 June 1774 at Hartford, Hartford co, CT. He was married there 18 May 1794 to Anne Spencer, also of Hartford, born 06 February 1779, dau of Ashubel Spencer by some records. He was known as Major James Bigelow. They lived some years at Hartford, then moved to Nantucket, Nantucket co, MA. They were listed as among the "First Puritan Settlers of Nantucket" by Hinman and Howe. There Anne died 01 October 1839 (aged 33? should be aged 60). James on 31 December 1846.
