16A14. Abel 5 BIGELOW,
son of Ebenezer
4 ( Ebenezer
3, Joshua2,
John1)
and Hepzibeh (DUFORE) BIGELOW, was born 7 Dec 1754 at Lancaster,
MA. He is mentioned in the mother's account of 24 Jun 1766. He married
in Stow, 15 Mar 1779 Sarah Brown. He drew up his will 13 May 1780; it was
proved 5 Jun 1780. He mentions a half-brother David Dufore at Swanzey,
and wife Sarah. He appointed Capt. Solomon Jewett as executor. Inventory
amounted to £5,026- 19-2; considering that his father's entire estate
was but £72, we infer that he inherited from his mother. Sarah his
widow is not mentioned again, nor have we tried to trace her.
