He was reared at Clearwater, NE. On 04 September 1902, he was united in marriage to Miss Ella Marie Stehwein, born 10 February 1878, daughter of August Stehwein. Mrs. Bigelow's death occurred here on 05 Sept 1933.  W.C. died 05 September 1933 St. Louis City hospital, MO. Both are buried in Mount Vernon Cemetery, Atchison, Atchison County, KS.
